In March 2011, a group of people volunteered to be part of a project involving some of the biggest names in contemporary art, such as Damien Hirst, Jeff Koons and Raymond Pettibon, for example. As the volunteers soon found out, they were about to become the sole owners of an original artwork from a contemporary master... on their bodies.
Directed by Ryan Hope, Skin is a dark, stylish examination of tattoo culture as high art, and a film that tests the boundaries of art and the human body.
