UFC's New Heavyweight Champ: The Flu

Brock holds the belt.

There is one thing we now know that can knock out Brock Lesnar, the current UFC Heavyweight Champion. The flu. Lesnar's green kryptonite has forced him to withdraw from UFC 106 and his title defense verses Shane Carwin. The match will be re-scheduled for UFC 108 on January 2nd. This might come as a small blow to UFC, as Brock Lesnar brings Tysonesque numbers to Pay Per View and is pretty much one of the biggest names in the popular sport. It's reported that Lesnar has been ill for the last three weeks with upper respiratory issues, fever and extreme fatigue unable to train or prepare for the upcoming match. It's not known if Lesnar has H1N1 which has been spread quickly throughout Minnesota, where Lesnar lives and trains. UFC moved quickly replacing the headlining match with the previously scheduled Tito Ortiz vs. Forrest Griffin fight, a rematch of an epic 2006 contest won by Ortiz on a controversial split decision, into the Nov. 21 main event slot. Whatever happens our wishes are with Brock, drink some orange juice and get some rest kid. We need you to eat lighting and crap thunder on January 2nd.
